Snowy Morning

In 2009 when we were "blessed" with a blizzard (something we dont get in Delaware) I got up early and took a shot of our driveway as the sun was coming up.  I entered that photograph in an art exhibit at Delaware Tech and Community College and it won 2nd place in the photography division.  I am so pleased.  It is my favorite photograph and I was so happy that others liked it too.  So now I am gearing up for the Nassau Winery exhibit and the Lewes Library show.  Lots to do and I just love it.  I am so blessed in my life and so happy now.
We'll talk later

New adventures this week

Well another weekend is over and a new week has begun.  This week I have to get the information to some folks for an upcoming exhibit.  The Nassau Vinyard exhibit is in June so I am getting ready for that.  Then the Lewes Library show is coming up so it is just a busy time.  Lots of flowers are coming out and make great models for my photography.  I have started a web site on smug mug so there are alot of things going on.
tamerajamesphotography.smugmug.com  stop by and check it out.  Well I better get back at it this morning lots to do.

Life's Up's and Down's

Sometimes we take for granted alot of things.  I dont live in the area that is riddled with floods, nor do I live in the area that has been devestated with tornados.  Instead, I live here in a very small town that all in all has been very blessed.  I think that living some place like that we tend to forget about some of life's up's and down's. Today is national prayer day, lets all take a moment and say a prayer for those less fortunate than we are.  Because if you stop and think about it, there is always and I mean always someone less fortunate than ourselves.

The Weekend

Well the weekend is fast aproaching and I am ready for it.  Lots to do outside  if the weather cooperates.  Want to take as many photos as possible this weekend so that when I am laid up next week I can edit them.. It will be fun to work with the new software and organizing some photos too.  Going to work on lots of educational tutorials and videos while I am stuck at home so that when I am able to get out and walk again I can be a wiz at Elements 9.  Well have a great weekend and get out there and enjoy nature.

What a Day!!

Wow  what a day we have had.  Storms everywhere.  So thankful we were blessed with no real damage or injury.  So, what has that done for photography for today?  Well, the sky has presented itself in a very different manner so photographs of it will be awesome.   I dont deal well with photographing damage so we will just leave it to the sky.  The Lewes Tulip Festival photo contest is now judged and my many friends at the Coastal Camera Club have done very very well.  Congratulations to all of them on a job well done.  They have exceptional photographs on display next weekend at the event so if you have a chance, please stop by and give them a look..all for now got to get dinner and work some more in Lightroom 3.

The Plan

Ok here is the plan.  I am going to take an Elements 9 course with Kin Klassen. This is a 6 week course to learn about the software.  In the meantime I am going to try out Smugmug and Zenfolo to see which site works best for me as they both have a 30 free trial.  At that point I will make the decision which to go with and launch my website. I feel confident about things now.  In the mean time my work is going to be on Red Bubble for sale and of course you can always contact me by email.  With Spring arriving it is always a great time of year to go out and shoot.  Color is coming back and nature is also changing.  My little yellow finches are molting their winter to spring feathers.  It wont be long before the nesting process is in full swing around our place and I can hardly wait.  Until tomorrow, take care and may God bless you all.

Decisions decisions decisions

Well here I am at my first big decision.  Do I take the plunge and get a website to showcase my work?  If so which website do I go with.  So many things to take into consideration.  What they offer for the price, what I can do with my own design, etc.  Where do I advertise the site? Do I use their pricing or my own?  Lots of things to think about and research. Want to get it close to perfect the first time. So any comments or help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
